Vitelloni Crew

Vitelloni Crew is a collective of six friends that have known each other for a long long time. We make instrumental music that draws its inspiration from hip-hop, pop and electro. Our way of working relies on collaborating with each other, spontaneity and freedom.

The crew was founded in 2014 by Siffli, Stik & Kota Karma shortly after their first studio session. Kota’s room was then changed into a makeshift studio and there, fueled by 90’s Hip-Hop and funky cigarettes, we started cooking our first tracks which were compiled as our first and eponymous album in 2015. For what it’s worth.

We had plans for a 2017 album that were aborted. Most of the stuff we were working on was scrapped and we started anew. Therefore we spent most of 2018 remotely creating new songs for our next record. We then reunited at Sax Studios to overdub and mix the album: Nuit de Flânerie was released by the fall of 2019.

During sessions for the second record, TheMicmac joined the crew as he and Kota started working on a common project. Then, back at Sax Studios, the formation was completed in late 2019 by Art’ and Spleen, who joined us at the start of the recording sessions for the crew’s third album which would end up covering a two-year span. Notably because we were figuring out how to work as a six-piece but mostly because of even higher expectations regarding the quality of the music.

During these production stages, TheMicmac and Kota’s album, Tales of the Thick Smoke was released during the summer of 2020, as well as Kota’s first solo effort by the end of the same year.
