Lamplighters (2021)
In “Lamplighters”, Vitelloni Crew puts up a collective and nocturnal work to invite us on a trip to explore hip-hop beats, electronic sounds and machine-music. Put on your coats and hats and join them on a walk in the city’s night from dusk to dawn, experimenting with atmospheric synthesizers, mixing live instruments and machine beatmaking, bluesy solos, funky guitars, hip-hop rhythms and other influences. “Lamplighters” is a melting pot, a spiced meal, a colorful illumination for your ears to catch.
Tales Of The Thick Smoke (2020)
This marks the arrival of TheMicmac in the crew. Looks like he and Kota had some time to kill. What was originally going to be a collab EP became a full length record. The whole project relies on the theme of a mystical travel through space with odd encounters and artefacts from ancient civilizations. Did you say «far-fetched?» Naaaah. As it is a pretty sample-heavy record, a lot of time was spent digging through vinyl, CDs or the internet.
Nuit de Flânerie (2019)
It is a collection of our finest tracks produced from 2015 to 2018, after an aborted album project in 2017 (we think too much whisky might have been involved). It features a less sample-based approach and a greater emphasis on arrangement and structure. We played a lot more on this one and most of the guitars, basses and overdubs have been done at Sax Studios in Achères. It has a lot more depth, a more focused and darker tone than our previous effort.
Vitelloni (2015)
Our first project ever. 2014 saw the formation of the crew after Stik, Sifly and Kota made their first beats together when the latter’s bedroom was turned into a makeshift studio. These early experimentations led to an album that mixes 90’s hip-hop with more electronic textures. It also narrates our discovery of musical styles through sampling. You can tell that we were still looking for our sound here, still learning how to use our tools and especially how to mix.

Fellini & The Blue Moods (2022)
We decided to change the name of the crew for a song ! In this track we blend sample techniques with live instrumentation. All through this jazzy complaint, soloists come one after the other, laying down beautiful lines upon a crazy drum line and moody piano touches. Nite Ride (2021)
Nite Ride is from one of those «one night/one track» sessions. It relies on G-funk influences and an overall upbeat feel, which is something we had not done until that point. Collabs
Diptych (2022)
We had been in contact with Jeff Vicario for several months, we had collaborated on a track with 19 other artists and he played some of our tracks on his eponymous radio show. Then in late 2021, we decide it was time to make music together. We worked back and forth on what the other brought to the original ideas. The result is a Hip-Hop crossover between psychedelia and a film noir ambiance !
Luminous EP (2022)
A cool collab, what else can we say ? These three instrumentals cross multiple styles like hip-hop, pop, funk, dub or even indie rock. Shoutout to Inebriate The Sponge, with whom we had already collaborated in the past, for asking us to take part in his project. His dedication and direction for this EP has been inspiring. Circadian Remix (2021)
Some artists we like asked us if they could remix one of our songs and we said yes ! LOH3 took the rather poppy and synthy « Deh » to future bass territory and made it danceable. Inebriate The Sponge made « Tightrope Walker » lofi-ish, dazed, goofy and even more chillout. Admiral Arsenic melted « Dromme » down and acidified the whole track. We also made a remix of « Chinmoku », turning it into a synthier version.
Blossoms (2020)
A collaboration single with LOH3. What started as a discussion on Twitter evolved into a song evoking nature, dewdrops and serenity. LOH3’s guitar tracks made the song what it is. For his second project, Kota goes back to sampling jazz, soul and chill music. That’s basically a color chart of every shade of old-school Hip-Hop and Downtempo. Dusty samples, gritty sometimes, it can also be more cheerful even though it retains that visceral sound. Circadian Rhythms (2020)
Kota’s first solo release. Sessions occured late at night in the wintertime, in a small appartment. It consists of an exploration of moods, modes, modulations, styles and sounds. In classic Vitelloni fashion: a few weeks to compose and record, a few days to mix and master but a whole year to release! Some the songs have been remixed by other artists on the Circadian Remix EP.
